The 2025/2026 National Robotics Championship (NRC), hosted by Coderina EdTech Foundation, has officially concluded and it did so in remarkable fashion.

This year’s championship brought together an outstanding 116 teams from across Nigeria, all competing across multiple innovation-driven categories designed to challenge creativity, engineering skills, collaboration, and critical thinking.

From robotics battles to strategic coding challenges, students demonstrated extraordinary talent in:

  • FIRST LEGO League (FLL)
  • FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)
  • Sumo-Bot
  • Code Car Racing
  • Checkmate
  • FIRST LEGO League Explore
  • FIRST LEGO League Discover

The atmosphere throughout the championship was electric and filled with determination, teamwork, and groundbreaking ideas. Students worked tirelessly to design, build, code, and refine their robots, proving that Nigeria’s next generation of innovators is more than ready to lead in science and technology.

A Grand Finale to Remember

Day 3 of the National Robotics Championship, which also served as the grand finale, ended on a high note. Among the standout performers was Aurora from Queens College Lagos, who participated exceptionally and emerged as champions.

Their victories included:

  • Championship Award (advancing to represent Nigeria at the FIRST Championship – World Festival in Houston, Texas)
  • FIRST Tech Challenge Inspire Award
  • FIRST Tech Challenge Innovate Award
  • FIRST LEGO League Motivate Award

The Championship Award qualifies the team to represent Nigeria at the global FIRST Championship in Houston, a testament to the level of excellence displayed at the national stage.

Beyond the trophies, the championship unearthed brilliance, resilience, and leadership among all participating teams. Every student who competed demonstrated courage, creativity, growth, and the ability to solve real-world problems through robotics and engineering.
